18-year-old grabbed in suspected kidnap attempt in Grimsby

An 18-year-old man was the victim of a suspected kidnap attempt in Grimsby.

The man was walking home alone along Grosvenor Street between 11pm and 11.45pm on Wednesday, January 23 when he was approached by two men travelling in a grey Audi.

The passenger in the vehicle attempted to engage in conversation with the man, but he ignored him and continued to walk away.

The driver of the vehicle is then alleged to have got out of the vehicle and taken hold of the arm of the man, in what was thought to be an attempt to get him into the vehicle.

The man pulled away from him and the driver is then reported to have got back in the vehicle and driven away.

The vehicle then returned and the driver is alleged to have once again got out the vehicle and made threats towards the man before getting back into the car and driving away.

The 18-year-old man was not injured and police have arrested a 29-year-old man and a 27-year-old man in connection with the incident.

They have been released on bail to date at the end of February pending further enquiries.
