5,000-plus jobs in pipeline at East Halton
A planned Marine Energy Park at East Halton will be a £500 million direct investment with 5,100 direct jobs and 12,800 indirect jobs.
Work is set to start in 2013/14, subject to planning permission.

Part of the site will open in 2015 with the rest due to open the following year.
A decision on the park is expected by the end of May, with work scheduled to start in the next financial year.

The types of jobs available include crew operations, riggers, trawlers and crew transfer.
The other side to the development is the logistics park. The £100 million direct investment will create around 5,300 direct jobs.
Job opportunities at the logistics park include 2,886 warehouse positions, 67 in services, 204 transport jobs, 871 in vehicles and storage and 446 office jobs.
