This is Grimsby

MY great-great grandparents Samuel and Christianna Dean left Lincolnshire in

1851 with many North Killingholme families to settle on farmland in Clinton County, Iowa, USA.

Samuel and Christianna were living in Louth when they travelled to the US but were originally from Raithby cum Maltby and Grimsby.

Samuel was born 1827, the son of George Dean (born 1773 in Keelby) and Eliza Hewitt (born 1786 Holton le Moor).

Christianna was born 1821, the daughter of Christopher Wheldale (born 1778 in Ludborough) and Ann Grantham or Paddison (born about 1777 in Lincs).

I am interested in connecting with other family members and confirming earlier ancestors.

    “Hi Pam,
I have no family connection but i found that George Dean's (1773) parents were George Dean and Elizabeth (Can't find her surname) and Christopher Wheldale's (1778) parents were John Wheldale and Elizabeth (again no surname).Apologies if you already have this information.
    Best wishes.”
