A16 crash victim named as Barry Robert Brown of Louth
POLICE have named the 77-year-old driver who died from his injuries following a crash on the A16 on Wednesday.
He was Barry Robert Brown, of Louth.
His 76-year-old wife remains in hospital in a stable condition.
As reported, Mr Brown’s Vauxhall Corsa, travelling southbound, collided with a Volkswagen coupe at about 1.40pm near the Brackenborough Arms Hotel.

The Volkswagen was driven by a 63-year-old man from Newark who suffered injuries to his chest, knees and a wrist.
Also in the VW were two women aged 64 and 60, they sustained miscellaneous lesser injuries.
A Chrysler MPV, also travelling southbound, ran into the wreckage but the couple from Holton-le-Clay were uninjured.
