Mariners striker Charles Ademeno joins the injury list
GRIMSBY Town boss Neil Woods is rocking from the blow of another hamstring injury to striker Charles Ademeno as he looks to draft in a new goalkeeper on loan.
The Mariners boss has said the club are in talks with a keeper who has played more than 100 senior games and could sign today.

HAMSTRUNG: Town's Charles Ademeno is clearly in pain after again succumbing to a hamstring injury in the game against Histon at Blundell Park. Trying to comfort him is skipper Lee Peacock
Ademeno, who limped off during yesterday's 2-1 victory against Histon, is out for at least two months.
First-choice stopper Kenny Arthur's injury is now not as bad as first feared and he could be back within a month. But Nick Colgan may require minor surgery on his elbow.
Goalkeeping coach Steve Croudson – whose last competitive outing was for Stevenage Borough in December 2004 – was able to fill the goalkeeping void at Blundell Park yesterday after filing forms on Friday that made him eligible for selection.
But despite the 29-year-old's top-notch performance, Woods is close to bringing in a new stopper in time for Saturday's televised home clash against Luton Town.
He said: "Steve's performance was fantastic but we have to judge whether it's fair – however happy Steve would be to carry on playing – to let him do that.
"He's got an injury that restricts him massively. There is a certain movement that causes him a lot of pain.
"We hope to get another keeper, but that's not a reflection on what Steve did yesterday.
"He kept us in the game first-half with a super save with his feet when it was 1-0 and another crucial save when it was 1-1.
"We registered Steve on Friday. We knew that Nick wouldn't be available after he saw a specialist.
"We knew we were light. Thankfully we were switched on enough to cover all eventualities."
Woods described the recurrence of Ademeno's hamstring injury as a "massive blow".
"Charles' hamstring has gone again, so it will be a good two, two-and-a-half months before he'll be back. We cannot afford to have it go again.
"It's the same injury within the space of two-and-a-half months, which is worrying.
"The lad was in tears in the dressing room at half-time.
"He just wants to play and kick-start his career at Grimsby and he can't at the moment.
"We know the performance yesterday wasn't at the standard we want to produce.
"We can make the excuse of injuries, of playing two games in three days.
"They are facts. With Charles out that makes us nine players out at the moment.
"However much we are a big club in this league, there's not many in any league that can deal with nine players unavailable.
"So we'll hope one or two are back and available for Luton."

“Den
Charlie can't be called a crock, not this early in his career and If you've seen him play you'll know he is a very good player, he played 25 times for Crawley last year with an extra 6 sub appearances and scored 11 goals, being relatively inexperienced that's a great return. Last season he was rumoured to be a £100'000 striker and he was chased by clubs such as Southampton and Millwall.
Town will have to go to a tribunal to determine the fee we pay for him making him the first player we have actually bought for quite a while and given the sum mentioned above he could be quite expensive though nobody is gonna pay that sort of sum for a crock (wink), right!http://www.theargus.co.uk/sport/bluesquare/crawleynews/4822668.Ademeno_shows_why_he_is_Reds__hottest_property/
There's a lot of stories relating to the interest he has had and it's clear that he is well known at a higher level, Town need to get him fit and fast ifwe are going to start scoring the goals we eed to pull us closer to the top.”
