Alfords Garden Centre open for business as usual as buyer is sought
A POPULAR Grimsby garden centre is very much open for business as a buyer is sought, who will hopefully continue to grow the successful venture.
Alfords Garden Centre owners Peter and Dee Skiba are keen to stress that they would prefer the business to be sold to people who can follow in their footsteps. Their wish is for any new owner to make the centre, which lies just opposite Morrisons, in Laceby Road, Grimsby, more successful than ever – securing the jobs of 25 loyal staff members and providing even more choice and value for money for customers.
Meanwhile, they wish to reassure customers that the centre is still fully stocked and open as usual as they prepare for a busy time in the run-up to Christmas.
Mrs Skiba, pictured, is working on special Christmas displays and offers.

"It is traditionally such a busy time and we are all looking forward to it. It is important people realise that we are still fully up and running and the perfect place to find a festive gift, or to decorate homes," she said.
"The bulldozers are certainly not moving in and hopefully new buyers will make sure they never do."
