Appeal for information following handbag theft in Grimsby

POLICE are appealing for information after a handbag was stolen in Grimsby.

The theft took place at around 7.30pm on Tuesday when a 25-year-old woman was walking along Ross Mews with another person who was pushing a pram.

The woman’s handbag was resting on top of the pram before it fell to the ground and, as it did, an unknown man and woman are alleged to have picked it up and ran away with it in the direction of Roberts Street.

The handbag is described as being black-coloured containing a small amount of cash, a set of keys and some bank cards.

The male offender is described as a white man, aged in his 20s with short brown hair. The female offender is described as a woman of a large build with long brown hair.
