Appeal for new venue for monthly disco after Cleethorpes nightclub Amishi goes up for sale
THE strobe lights are off for now as these disco dancers appeal for a new home to groove in.
Plusability Ltd – a non-profit organisation which provides services to vulnerable people – ran a monthly disco at the Cleethorpes nightclub Amishi.

Can you help? Members of Plusability are seeking a new nightclub to hold their nights out at as Amishi is being sold to new owners. Pictured is director and chief executive Mike Carty, left, with members, staff and volunteers. Buy this photo at www.thisisphotosales.co.uk/grimsby
As reported, the venue is up for sale for £400,000 and just last month Wetherspoon's bosses confirmed they are looking at the possibility of taking it over.
But this news does not comfort members of Plusability, who have not had a disco night since December.

For Thomas Wade, 20, of Grimsby, the event is one he feels safe to attend and he fears going into any other nightclub without the group.
He suffers with epilepsy and is scared to go out on his own in case he has a fit.
He said: "I know that when I attend a Plus Club disco, organisers there will be able to help me if I have a fit.
"If this happened in a general nightclub I think people would be scared of what to do and that frightens me.
"Attending something like this is great for meeting new people and it gives me some independence."
Since the disco nights stopped, Mike Carty, the director of Plusability Ltd, has been inundated with phone calls. "Our aim is to tackle social exclusion and the monthly disco was something many looked forward to," he said.
"The disco was originally set up in 2011 by request of service users, many who have learning disabilities or life-long health conditions."
Mike and other members of the organisation are now appealing for help from suitable venues to house a disco either on a Tuesday or Thursday night. Call 01472 317458.

“A Disco? How delightful!
And it makes me glad to see,
When you planned your celebration,
You invited little old me.
It's so long since I've been to one
I'll think upon those things
Of comradeship and joyfulness
A modern disco brings.
The sounds of Armageddon
Suggest a local crisis.
There's "beer" like fizzy water
At London hotel prices.
You meet up with some dear old friends
Not seen for many a year.
You attempt some conversation
While sitting jaw to ear.
At nine o'clock the buffet comes,
A little late to dine,
But, overcome by gluttony
You wallow like a swine.
Just when you think your ears will burst
Before the music's ceased
At ten o'clock, the kids go home
The volume is increased!
You go home in the early hours
With head that's sore and numb
And toss and turn throughout the night
With rumbly, gurgly tum
Next day you wake with aching head
And ringing in the ear.
But have to leave your cosy bed
With rampant diarrhoea.
Your metabolism, within two days,
Is nearly back on line.
It's kind of you to ask me
But I think I must decline!
