ARRAN Brindle’s bid for Women’s Cricket World Cup glory begins tomorrow in Mumbai.
The Louth star, right, is part of England’s squad who play their first Group A game against Sri Lanka, starting at 3.30am in the morning.
The reigning 50-over champions enjoyed mixed results in their two warm-up matches – beating South Africa by 51 runs on Monday before losing to New Zealand, by just 13 runs, on Tuesday.
England’s encounter with the Sri Lankans is followed by a clash with the hosts, India, on Monday, and their final group game with the West Indies on Wednesday next week.
