Austin Mitchell's 'Kate in a bikini' comment was inappropriate
GRIMSBY MP Austin Mitchell was reported in your paper today: “It’s a shame it’s winter because it would have been nice to see Kate in a bikini”.
Perhaps it is a good thing that he thinks he will be in the House Of Commons on that day.

Our MP likes his quips, many of them over the years inappropriate, but this beats them all - insulting and more than inappropriate. Shame on you.

“I scrapped my old rusty Austin and this Austin is long past his sell by date. Enough Yorkies telling us what to do! We need a Grimbarian/or Meggy full blooded Yellowbelly because this is the beautiful green land of Lincolnshire, God's country! One of the few really English counties left .Tell the Yorkies to go back to Snaith, Crowle or Doncaster! They are so jealous of us because just to be born in Lincolnland the land of Tennyson and Captain John Smith gives us all a distinct advantage over the whole human race.Perhaps it was the clear Lincolnshire air that motivated John Whittle to invent the Jet engine in our green and fine county ,not to mention the first tank.Yorkielands only claim to fame is their Yorkshire Pudding.( Some people have even asserted that that was stolen from a Louth recipe.)”
