LONG queues of traffic have held up motorists in Grimsby following an accident this morning.

A black Ford Focus and red Vauxhall Vectra were involved in a collision 50 yards east-bound of the Pyewipe Roundabout on the A180.

Details of the drivers are unknown although one of the occupants has been taken to Diana, Princess of Wales Hospital.

The collision happened at around 8.30am and queues tailed back to Stallingborough.

Humberside Police advise drivers to be patient while the road is cleared.

“I totally agree about the traffic lights, i work just off the roundabout in question and its a dice with death to get out onto the A180 every night because of drivers speeding round and across it”

“There is no such thing as a dangerous road, its all about the driving.
people nowadays don't drive to the conditions and don't use their observation skills enough. Nine times out of ten unless their is a mechanical fault with the vehicle then there is a driver at fault. There are too many distractions in a vehicle let alone out side and in peoples heads. Don't think, Tesco shopping, or who is this on my mobile or what radion station shall I change to. Think , look at listen, its simple its been around years and nothing has changed on this one.”

“I passed this accident just after it had happenend, so what if any of you where a little late this morning for work, but for those of you that was i bet you tried to make the time up by speeding, it was more than a little dent, one car would be a right off, (parked on the grass verge) and as for the comment about women drivers it the drivers who race around and try to intimidate by coming up so close that they might as well be sat in your back seat was to drive sensibly then possibly these type of accidents would be avoided, I hope the parties involved are ok and just a little shuck up. Is it not better to arrive a little late then not arrive at all!”
