Humber Bridge partially closed (update)
TRAFFIC delays were reported on the A15 at Barton on the approach to the Humber Bridge earlier following the closure of the bridge's Hull-bound carriageway.
Speaking to the Grimsby Telegraph at 5pm, a spokesman for Humberside Police confirmed there had been "an incident" and that it was "in hand" but would not reveal further details of what had happened.
UPDATE 6.10pm: The carriageway has now re-opened.

“Why cant the jobsworth police say exactly what the problem is. The folk who incur delays as a result of said 'incident' might be far more understanding if the truth was spoken immediately.
My guess is that it has got windy and Mrs Hullyglleys knicker elastic snapped whist walking halfway across!
If it was someone wanting to jump off in what way would this possibly affect motorists. Say nothing and nobody would know, let the traffic flow! As usual the authorities seek to cause the maximum possible inconvenience to the motorist.”
