Lincolnshire Police chief investigation will be carried out locally
AN investigation into potential conduct matters involving the suspended chief constable of Lincolnshire Police, Neil Rhodes, will be carried out locally.
The Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC) has referred the matter back to the Police and Crime Commissioner for Lincolnshire, Alan Hardwick.

Mr Hardwick said: "I welcome the determination made by the IPCC. The decision made by the IPCC not to carry out their own investigation is understandable and in line with previous determinations they have made on Chief Officer conduct matters.
"I will be conducting my own independent and rigorous local investigation into the potential conduct matters that were raised.”

“I cant see why a washed up television presenter was given this role anyway it surely needs a certain amount of inside knowledge of policing to carry out and understand the position he is attempting undertake....”

“It seems the IPCC feel there is nothing to be investigated.
Yet another instance of the PCC being a waste of time and our money?”

“Mr Hardwick needs to be a bit more open than he is being at the moment.
Nel Rhodes applied for 2 Chief Constables jobs in the weeks leading up to this with other forces. The one at North Yorks only days before this broke. The other post he applied for was Humberside Police.
If the relationship between the 2 was so positive before this, why was Mr Rhodes applying for jobs elsewhere when the Lincs job he was temporary in was due to be advertised this month?
Draw you own conlusions.”
