A MAN who was taken to hospital after armed police surrounded his home in Laceby Road, Grimsby, was in a critical condition in hospital last night.
Neighbours were shocked when six armed officers closed in on the house at 9.30am yesterday.
Eyewitnesses watched paramedics give CPR to the man, thought to be in his early 40s.
One neighbour, who did not want to be named, watched the drama unfold from his window after police banned him from leaving his house.

“I had just got out the shower. I heard shouting so I looked out the window and saw five police cars and a van.
“The next thing we know there are officers with guns and shields,” he said.
“It was worrying to see, like something out of a film.”
A police spokesperson confirmed paramedics called the armed officers after the man refused hospital treatment.
Eight police cars – including three riot vans – one ambulance and two ambulance cars blocked the road for an hour-and-a-half between Second Avenue and Chelmsford Avenue junctions.
He was taken to the Diana Princess Of Wales Hospital for treatment.
