Can you help reunite white akita with its owner?
The hunt is on for the owner of a white Akita named Cheeko who has been found in the Louth area.
Concerned animal lovers have posted the plea on Facebook, after Walkers Kennels revealed they had taken in the dog.
Although the animal is microchipped, the phone number provided is not in service.
The only other information on the chip is that the dog belongs to Mrs Stokes of Cleethorpes.

“Eight made aware of the situation and details. By this time it will have gone out to twenty. The white Akita I had in mind is apparently still present, though it isn't quite white. Has some 'dapple' on it. It isn't discounted yet. I know some can mistake Akita and Huskie breeds.”

“With the media attention, vet involvement I'm surprised Mrs Stokes has not come forward by now. If it was my dog I would have checked so many things by now including the paper, lost and found, vets, blue cross, police. This dog didn't get from Cleethorpes to Louth on its own. Maybe the dog has been passed on to another at some point. If there is a Mrs Stokes out there please do help clarify things. I'm on my way out soon. I will ask other dog walkers again.”

“Surly the micro chip data information has an address too ...i realise the phone number may have changed but has anyone chased up the address to check if that is the same..Having a dog myself which is miro chipped it does'nt give me much faith if my dog goes missing.(Although im sure the kennels are looking after him wonderfuly it must be very distressing)Their must be a quicker way of reuniting...well done for getting the news out there...i hope he finds his home soon.”
