BYGONES: Factory job was n-ice work back in the '30s
THESE two photographs were shown to us by Mr T Sullivan, of Manor Drive, Waltham.
Mr Sullivan said: "With the interest and comment on the Ice Factory I thought the pictures would be of interest.

COOL CUSTOMERS: Workers at Grimsby's Ice Factory, in the late 1920s or early 1930s, in a picture sent in by Mr T Sullivan, of Waltham. Mr Sullivan's father, Herbert, is in the centre (wearing a boilersuit). On his left is Jack Walton, a joiner.

RECOGNISE ANYONE: The only person we can identify in this group is the man standing in the centre, wearing a cloth cap. His name is Alonzo Carrington, who was a blacksmith and sheet metal worker.
"They were taken outside the Ice Company entrance to the bike shed and workshop yard.
"All the people shown were employees of the Ice Company.
