A NEW farm shop and delicatessen in Beverley will be able to take advantage of the town's growing reputation as the culinary capital of East Yorkshire.

Every summer, Beverley Food Festival attracts thousands to the town. Chefs and food producers are keen to demonstrate what they have to offer at the showpiece event.

Beverley Town Council has launched its From Field To Table project. The project was funded using a £105,000 lottery grant.

The money is part of the Local Food Scheme, a £57m national programme.
