Bicknell to speak at society event
FORMER Nottinghamshire, Surrey and England A batsman Darren Bicknell will be the guest speaker at the opening meeting of the 2012/13 season of the Lincolnshire Cricket Lovers' Society.
The older brother of England player Martin, Bicknell, pictured, scored more than 19,000 first class runs during his 20-year career.

He now turns out for Cambridgeshire in the Minor Counties Championship and in August this year scored 107 against Lincolnshire – a match that Cambs won by just 12 runs.
In 2009, Bicknell joined the Belvoir Castle Cricket Trust to establish a charity that works with disadvantaged, disabled and able–bodied children to allow them to enjoy the game of cricket.

His cricketing career and his work at the Trust will be featured when he speaks at Cleethorpes Cricket Club on Tuesday, October 16 at 7.30pm.
There will also be an opportunity to meet him at a wine and cheese reception beginning at 6.45pm.
The cost is £5 per ticket for the reception, and the cost for non-members who wish to attend the meeting is also £5.
Membership of the Society is £12 for adults or £16 joint membership with under-18s admitted free.
