Bid farewell to former Grimsby mayor Alec Bovill
DETAILS of former mayor Alec Bovill’s funeral have been announced.
As reported, Mr Bovill was a long-serving Labour councillor who was instrumental in much of the regeneration of Grimsby. He passed away at the Diana, Princess of Wales Hospital on June 4, aged 79.
A service to celebrate his life will take place at Grimsby Minster on Thursday at 1.45pm, followed by a private internment at Scartho Road Cemetery.
Mourners are asked not to wear black at the family’s request.
