JOBSEEKERS are hoping a jobs fair today will give them a brighter future.

The event is open from now (5pm) until 8pm tonight at the Kimberly-Clark factory, in Barton, in a bid to help more people secure future employment.

As reported, proposals to close the factory were first announced in October and the move has since been confirmed.

The plant employs 352 staff members, along with 100 contractors and about 120 temporary workers.
