“It seems to be both convenient and pointless to blame our poorer results on the absence of Hearn, no doubt assuming he would score at will against the current opposition but remember he had ineffective spells against the better sides .This season the weaker types of teams are either much improved [or we have got worse] or were relegated Probably S&H should decide on the best striker combination and stick with it I fail to see any point persevering with Elding as he wants away and as the future success depends upon youth Southwell should be a permanent fixture,at least he wants to play for us The defence appears settled so it should not be too difficult for two managers to sort out our attacking options .”

“....should have said "as the defence is at the moment playing solidly" etc etc.”

“Yes what a shame and ironic Liam is so badly injured presently. I feel we could potentially be taking this league by storm right now, particularly as the defence is at the playing solidly and being so frugal in the goals conceded department. Admittedly and by the same token, I also expected the likes of Cook to start wading in with goals regularly by now but remember it took Liam ten games plus before he found his "shooting boots". You don't become a bad player overnight but the lad is probably trying too hard rather than let it come naturally.UTM.
ps Well done Aswad in being in the starting line up in the England C's 2-1 win in Belgium earlier this week. I hope I am wrong but this guy at this rate is surely going on to bigger and better things by playing at a higher level of football on present form.”

“Must agree we are definitely missing our Liam,i also think Cook should be hitting the target by now.To be honest Southwell should have been on instead of Cook today,he has done well in recent games and shown more quality in my opinion. We definitely need a loan striker to bail us out,the ones we have are injured or not on form.I hope Bradders will be ok for Friday night i rate this lad highly.Anyway a point is better than none, and well done again defence solid as a rock.utm.”

“I think we are missing Hern. we just don't have a consistent striker who can do the business. Elding is ok on pens or tap ins but he does miss a lot of chances. A point and a clean sheet today but it should have been three, It's games like this when at the end of the season and you're a few points short and it's if only”
