Big Match Live: Grimsby Town 4 Luton Town 1
GRIMSBY Town scored three goals in the opening 45 minutes as they beat Luton Town 4-1 at Blundell Park this evening.
The Mariners went ahead within the first ten minutes thanks to Joe Colbeck with Andy Cook and new signing Ross Hannah joining him on the scoresheet shortly before the interval.

The outcome of the game was put beyond all doubt around twenty minutes before full-time when an own goal from Dean Beckwith made it 4-0 to the Mariners.
Luton's Scott Rendell netted a consolation goal a few minutes later but this was the Mariners' night.

“Great result Town! I have always said that if we played to the flanks, we would open defences in this league. I thought the new lads proved this. They have pace and linked up well with other players to create chances. Although Luton played the better football, Town were better tactically and solid in defence. They looked a threat everytime they went forward, something we have been lacking since Liam's injured. We are now 2 points away from the top! Unbelievable! Well done Town. UTM”
