Former Manchester United boss Ron Atkinson 'signs up' for Louth Town
FORMER Manchester United and Aston Villa boss Ron Atkinson has become a vice-president of Louth Town Football Club.
Big Ron, pictured, enjoyed a long managerial career at clubs in England and Spain, before becoming a TV pundit.

A phone call from Town's new club development consultant Bernard Bale found Atkinson on a golf course in Tenerife about to putt.
Bale said the 71-year-old held off his shot to willingly accept the invitation to become vice-president and he has promised to visit the Park Avenue club during the early part of the new season.
The move is the latest step in the club's ambitious target to be playing League football by 2017.
This would require the Northern Counties East League club, which was only established in 2007, to achieve six promotions in the next seven seasons.
Atkinson's media work came to an abrupt halt on April 2004 when he resigned from ITV after he broadcast a remark live on air about the black Chelsea player Marcel Desailly, believing the microphone to be switched off.
His last managerial job was with Nottingham Forest for the final four months of the 1998/99 season.

“Sounds like Louth's ambitions could see them playing Town in a few seasons time. Now that would be a derby match to look forward to.”
