Blissett on fire in Redwings success
GRIMSBY Redwings Under-14s made the perfect start to the new ice hockey season when they travelled to Queensferry in North Wales to take on the Deeside Dragons.
The Grimsby team came away with a convincing 7-2 win.

The first goal came when Redwings captain Charlie Blissett took the puck near the blue line, skated forward and shot past the Deeside netminder.
Despite Grimsby's early domination, Deeside soon hit back. Redwings netminder Tim Lyons stopped the first shot, but the rebound fell to another Deeside forward who fired home.

Ben Crowther, playing in his first Under-14s match, hit back for Redwings.
The second period again saw Grimsby dominate, but they only scored once more when Blissett shot home.
Period three saw Grimsby pull away and stamp their authority on the match, scoring four goals with just one in reply from Deeside.
Thomas Yorston, Charlie Moiser and Blissett all netted for Redwings to put them well in control.
Deeside got a consolation goal before Moiser rounded off the match for Grimsby with his second of the match.
Yorston won the Player of the Match award for his solid, all-round display and well-taken goal.
