Bookmaker boys strip back Joiners to earn draw
HARNESS & Cooper Joiners extended their lead at the top of the Louth Billiards & Snooker League – despite being held to a 6-6 draw at home.
Don Noble Bookmaker held the high-flyers in the league sponsored by Faulkners Audio Visual & Domestic Appliances.
Pat O'Reilly and Neil Ashwood both won for the Harness hosts, but Brian Leese and Ian Winn denied the leaders a fourth victory.
Second-placed Seymour & Castle slipped up at J Melton Painters. Lee Rankin looked to have set the visitors up on course only for Ieuan Bullivant and Wes Burton to strike and help the Painters to a 7-5 win.

Dales Poultry & Game bagged a second win a row as they saw off defending champions Kitchen Solutions by eight frames to four. Luke Howard and Mark Wilkinson were on form for Dales.
Sibjon Builders enjoyed a 7-5 victory at Louth Building Supplies. Bob Barnes, Pete Mountain and John Mountain inflicted a second successive loss on the Louth club, despite Henry McSpadden and Derek Adlam's efforts for the hosts.
Louth Travel Centre are steadily climbing the table after another good win. They had Keith Selby and Lee Willoughby to thank for their 7-5 result over GRS Electrical Services, who nearly grabbed a draw through Kristen Fenwick.
NT Shaw Citroen and Castaline thrashed out a 6-6 draw. Gary Skipworth and Joe Hunt took the hosts close to victory, but Matt Chandler and Richard Kissane replied to level the match.
ABC Riding Wear have top spot to themselves in the billiards league after a 2-1 win at Marris Carpets.
Luke Howard and Mike Rice both won for the leaders before Pete Beeton replied for the hosts.
Castaline dropped into second soirt after their 2-1 defeat to the improving Moran Travel.
Bob Camfield (35) and Ray Charlton both stunned their lofty opponents, who were saved from a bigger loss by Dan Blythe.
It's not going to well for the reigning champions Naulls & Dales.
They remain bottom of the table after Lee Cook, Hayden Gavey and Andre Fisher all won for MA Stephenson Autos in a 3-0 home rout.
