GRIMSBY Borough Reserves hope an impressive 6-2 demolition of derby rivals Louth United Reserves will kick-start their Lincolnshire League season.

The Wilderness Boys' second-string ended a run of five games without victory, which included a 10-2 thrashing at the hands of Skegness United.

John Waugh did the damage for Borough Reserves, netting a hat-trick that took his tally up to eight goals in seven games.

Ash Greenbeck and Jimmy Read impressed in the middle of the park, but ultimately the man-of-the-match award went to defender Tom Heaton on his Reserves season debut.
