Boxing: Insitute and Cox's knock-out combo
THE Grimsby Institute Group (GIG) and Grimsby Boxing Academy (GBA) are working together to help develop Grimsby's top Boxing talent.
GIG already have several sports academies including football, golf and tennis and are proud to announce that GBA head coach Andy Cox will front the programme which will be running from September.
Any learner from Grimsby Institute that enrolls on a full-time course can access up to ten hours per week of free boxing tuition and along with learning the techniques and getting fit, participants can learn about nutrition and gain access to sports therapy from some of the best sporting professionals in the country.
The programme is designed to help develop aspiring boxers while studying at one of the region's most well-known education providers. Cox said: "This is a massive opportunity for young boxers in the area to move to the next level whilst receiving an education.
