PROFESSIONAL boxing is returning to Grimsby – and local boy Kevin Hooper will be top of the bill.

The 26-year-old light-welterweight trained by Sean Wood will headline a boxing show at the Beachcomber, Cleethorpes on June 27.

Super Hooper, who has four wins from four since turning pro, was cheered on by more than 100 fans in his last two bouts at Rotherham's Magna Centre.

Hooper's manager David Coldwell is promoting the Cleethorpes fight night.

"It's for Kev's fans," Coldwell said.

"His support has been fantastic at my last two shows in Rotherham so this is for them.

"And it's also a chance for more people in Grimsby and Cleethorpes to see what Kev is really about."

Tickets cost £25, or £45 ringside, and are available via the venue or through contacting Hooper on 07532380456.
