THE Wilderness Boys go into tonight's clash with Yorkshire Amateur looking to make it four wins on the bounce after a 4-0 hammering of Askern Villa.

Borough moved up to sixth in the Baris Northern Counties East League Division One thanks to goals from Andy Taylor, Steve Davies and a brace from Jake Thompson.

Borough got after the visitors from the first whistle and when Scott Raworth's pass got Taylor in behind, the striker cut inside and fired a shot that crashed against the post to safety.

Askern's goal was living a charmed life in what was a lively opening 20 minutes for the hosts as Josh Fuller's shot flew inches wide of the far post.

The hosts finally broke the deadlock two minutes before the break when Thompson bagged his first goal of the season.

The midfielder powered his way through to get on the end of a Taylor cross, and volley the ball into the roof of the net to give the keeper no chance.

Ten minutes after the restart and Thompson was at it again as he grabbed his and Borough's second goal of the game.

He caught a crisp shot from 15 yards that flew past the keeper and into the net.

Borough were turning the screw and added a third after a ten-pass move was finished off with a low drive from the edge of the box by top scorer Taylor.

Davies replaced the tiring John Waugh and made it four soon after his introduction with a glancing header into the far corner.

Borough, joint boss Nigel Fanthorpe, pictured, said: "It was another good performance from us.

"It was especially pleasing to see us keep another clean sheet. We'll now go to Yorkshire Amateur tonight looking for another win."
