HATS and jackets off to Hollywood stars Brad Pitt and Russell Crowe – who have both given generously to a charity bash at a top Lincolnshire hotel.

The Posh Ball – with a pink and black theme – will include auction lots of a man's black jacket worn in the Quentin Tarantino blockbuster, Inglorious Basterds and a hoodie worn in the Robin Hood remake featuring, Russell Crowe.

Friends of the organisers of the charity event – which is being held in aid of the Still and Neonatal Death Society – are associates of the Oscar-winning actor Crowe and Oscar-hopeful Pitt.

The group of friends chose the charity after a friend lost her baby at 38 weeks.

Though the sell-out ball will not take place until tomorrow evening, bids have already been received on many items – taking the total raised so far to £3,000.

For full details of the other items up for grabs – and how you can bid on them – pick up today's Grimsby Telegraph.
