Bygones: Elton John signs autographs for Grimsby Town players at Blundell Park
Elton John, as chairman of Watford FC, came to Blundell Park in April 1977 when the Hornets, managed by ex-Grimsby Town player Graham Taylor, came to play the Mariners. Elton can be seen leaning on Terry Donovan's shoulder to sign an autograph. The Mariners lost the game 2-1.
