CCTV footage released after elderly man robbed by meat cleaver-wielding man in Grimsby
DO you recognise either of these people – who are suspected of robbing a 70-year-old in his own home after threatening him with a meat cleaver.
Humberside Police have today released CCTV footage of two people following the incident in Malvern Avenue, Grimsby, between 6pm and 6.10pm on Wednesday, January 2.
The 70-year-old victim was home alone when a man knocked on the front door, holding what is believed to be a meat cleaver in his hand.
The man pushed past the victim, threatening him with the weapon and making demands for property, before escaping with his wallet and Blackberry mobile phone.

The 70-year-old was taken to Grimsby's Diana, Princess of Wales hospital, where he was treated for cuts to his hand and further cuts and a bump to the forehead.
Detective Sergeant Dave Pattison from Grimsby CID, said: "This was a particularly unpleasant offence involving a vulnerable member of our community.
"Incidents such as this do not happen frequently, thankfully, but when they do they are very disturbing and it is important that we trace those responsible and bring them to justice.
"The CCTV footage shows two separate people attending at the address and we would like to identify both the man and the woman in the hope they may be able to assist with the investigation."

“The footage is taken from inside. An apparently clean window will affect the quality, so too reflections from street lights, net curtains. Whatever is caught on camera here is insufficient to bring about any ID or prosecution.”
