Sex in the sand dunes: Calls for community action against 'dogging' at coastal nature spot
Residents are being called on by Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust to help stop people using a local nature spot for 'unsavoury purposes'.
An area of sand dunes that spans from behind Seacroft Esplanade and the residential avenues off Drummond Road, to Lifeboat Avenue, in Skegness, is being used for sex meets.

Numerous complaints have been received by the trust who say the dunes are a registered area of special scientific interest which is used for both educational and recreational visits.
Dave Miller, Coastal Ranger for Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust said: "We run school visits to the area and it is also very popular with walkers and residents.

"The site is environmentally managed with rare species such as Sea Heath and Ropsy Lavender all along the dunes.
"I've received numerous complaints about people using the dunes for dogging sex meets and it is spoiling the area."
"The reports I've had show these people to be quite brazen about the whole thing and even meeting up in the middle of the day."
A public meeting has now been called at the Gibraltar Point Visitor Centre at 7pm on January 8.
Residents are invited to come and share their concerns and suggestions over tea and coffee.
Mr Miller said: "If we work together as a community we've got a chance of claiming the area back.
"I'm proposing a working group to help cut-back overgrown areas so the people abusing the area have nowhere to go.
"I'd also like to keep a record of events to help police become more aware of the issue but am welcoming any ideas from people at the meeting."

“I live down a quite country lane not far from Laceby/Keelby. At the end of the lane there is a wooded area - and we get doggers there all the time - they turn up all hours of the day and night - in smart cars - smartly dressed - often men in business suits - goodness knows where they are supposed to be. There are ripped up pornographic magazines everywhere and the odd sex toy lying around! Its disgusting - how do these people know where to go and meet - that's what I want to know - and never a police car/officer in sight. I have thought about making some stickers for their cars and telling them they have had their car registration number taken and passed on to the police - that would take some explaining if they got caught!! Serves them right in my opinion. I have spoken to the police about it and they are supposed to be stepping up their patrols of the area - but we shall have to wait and see if anything actually changes.....”
