Cambridge sign former Mariner

FORMER Mariners defender Scott Garner has signed for Cambridge United.

The 23-year-old, who made 36 appearances in two seasons before his release at the end of April, has signed a two year deal at The R Costings Abbey Stadium.

Speaking the United's official website, manager Jez George said: "He's young but has good experience in this league, has the potential to develop and will improve our squad."
