"We have a house band, as well as special guests, and a hot buffet.

"We try to make it as special as possible and we have created a real jazz club feel.

"The first two events sold out and we have already sold most of the tickets for the next night, which will be on Thursday, February 14.

"Because it has been so successful, we are hoping to do a summer jazz ball later in the year."

The No 1 Capitol house band start at around 8pm and play throughout the evening.

Speaking at the second event, drummer John Tevitt said: "This is the second jazz night to be put on after the first was a great success.

"The event will now be held on a monthly basis.

"It is remarkable that so many people have turned up.

"There is nothing like this is Cleethorpes and it is a pleasure to play at the club.

"Everyone has been looking forward to the night."

Jazz fan Joan Chadwick, 80, of Humberston, said: "I came to the first event and it was great.

"The music and atmosphere are the reason why I turn up.

"The night is something a bit different from every- thing else. The food is also fantastic."

Jazz supporter Jane Ducidre, of Cleethorpes, said: "I have always liked jazz and this night brings it to the area.

"The minute I heard about it I put my name down for a ticket.

"It is something different and I have been to a few places but nothing is a patch on this.

"This is a jazz club, not a bar with some music playing. I would buy a ticket for the whole year if I could."
