WANT to get into five-a-side football? Grimsby Town Football Club is holding a futsal open day tomorrow afternoon.

The event, which will be held at Clee Sports Hall from 12pm-3pm, will give school-leavers aged 16-18 an opportunity to play futsal as well as finding out more information on the course.

Coach Mark Westerby said: “We’re looking at recruiting for next year, and we’re hoping to get a good turnout at the taster event.

“It’s an opportunity for anyone leaving school, aged between 16 and 18, to have a go at futsal and give it a try.

“The idea is that they’ll see the lads that are already on the team, meet them and ask questions as well as play a bit of futsal.

“They can also get all the information they need on the course from me and the rest of the team here. For some, it may be the first experience of futsal and they might not think it’s for them. But I’d say give it a try – you might really enjoy it.”

To register your attendance, email Mark at markwesterby@grimsbytownfitc.co.uk or call 01472 696481. Participants must wear suitable clothing.
