Circus comes to Cleethorpes
THE CIRCUS is coming to Cleethorpes – and this time all the performers are human.
Russell's International Circus is one of the last all-human shows remaining – and organisers claim audiences are in for a lot more than "elephants doing pointless tricks for a lump of sugar".

Russell's International Circus
The show – which will be held near Pennell's Garden Centre, Humberston Road – explodes to life, with amazing acts brought in from across the world through the circus' unique foreign exchange programme.
Rusty Russell – who performs in and runs the show alongside his wife Amanda – said: "After all the recent controversy regarding the ill treatment of elephants on a sub standard British circus we are proud to bring our state of the art all human production to Cleethorpes

"In this day and age the human boundaries are been pushed further all the time and the standards of human acts are now quite amazing, which in my view makes it totally unacceptable to make an elephant do pointless tricks for a lump of sugar."
Among the acts taking to the ring are:
A magical wizard, who transforms into the beautiful Miss Stephanie on the aerial rope before your very eyes.
The amazing Turunbaka Brothers, who have travelled from Mongolia to show off their amazing strength – including feats such as the four-man life and catching canon balls with their necks.
Romantic couple Bayra and Zaya, from Mongolia, on the aerial silks.
Clown Rusty Russell – who knows how to make an entrance.

“I dont agree with Marks comments, i saw Russells International circus last time it came to town and myself and the kids thought it was great, the acts the lighting all very good, and a lot cheaper than going to Blackpool, we have already got half price vouchers off Russells website and all 4 of us can go to the circus for under £18, you will never do that in Blackpool”

“Gary - FYI I've been a season ticket holder over recent seasons and attended my fare share of away games. My reference to clowns is appropriate as I'm comemnting on the players who are not injured. They are inept, can't pass, tackle or demonstrate much skill. I don't criticise the club, which I adore its the poor players that turn out eack week and wear that shirt.
On the subject of the Circus, having young kids I've been to all of them that visit our area. To be honest I think they are poor and not good value for money. If you do want to visit a top circus at a good price, visit Blackpool Tower Circus.”

“You don't go to Blundell Park then Mark? If you do you would realise that they're not clowns they're just a bunch of lads trying to play football but with a lengthy injury list it's difficult. When the squad is fit again we'll see who the clowns really are - the fans who constantly criticise our club!
Anyway, on the subject of the circus it's nice to see an organisation proving that you don't need wild animals in cruel captivity doing party tricks to have a good time. If you want to see wild animals go to Longleat, or even better to safaris in the animals' native lands. For humans it;s only criminals who are caged up!”
