“I have no wish to take anything away from the winners of this award, it is lovely that it has happened, but as far as Immingham goes, one road does not a town make. It is lovely to see the main road and the Civic Centre bedecked with flowers............and I know before anyone wants to remind me that it is all done on different budgets but when you walk around the rest of Immingham and see the shoddy footpaths, the run down `shopping centre`, more of which has been closed due to an elusive supermarket that does not seem to be appearing any time soon it doesn`t matter how many flowers you plant on Pelham Road, the rest of the town is a mess.
I would think the residents on Worsley Road, and a number of other areas in this town cringe every time it rains because none of the drains work properly. It doesn`t take rocket science NELC or even someone on the phone reporting it....take a trip down Worsley Road when it is raining heavily, you can see where the problems are, particularly on the corner of the Bert Boyden Centre where it looks like a lake and the water floods across the road in minutes, the corner of Battery St and Worsley Road, and a number of other places down there...
When you have done this then pick up a member of Shoreline Housing and take a trip around the Reed Meer Estate where we can`t even have the rear access roads cleaned because there was no cleansing budget set when Shoreline took over. They can send out letters telling people to tidy their gardens and then make them walk through a filthy hole to get to them.....The road sweepers do not clean the rear access roads because there is a `demarkation zone` (speedbumps) at the entrance to every rear access road which marks the end of NELC property and the beginning of Shorelines property.
Lovely flowers.....shame about the rest of the town”

“The gardens on Cleethorpes seafront are beautifull. I just love to go for a walk around them.
Plenty of seating areas , plenty of places to sit in peace and quiet to just enjoy what mother
nature gives to us. Well done to all concerned !”
