The Kingsway Printers Cleethorpes Band proudly marched the parade off with standard bearers of all the armed forces.

A service was held at St Peter's Church, led by the Reverend Paul Hunter, then they gathered outside the church at the War Memorial for the two minutes silence and the laying of the wreaths.

The Ode written by English poet and writer Laurence Binyon:

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old;

Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.

At the going down of the sun and in the morning

We will remember them.

Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called the sons of God. From Matthew 5: 9

    “It was a very moving service today but something must gone wrong with the timings as once the church service was over and people gathered around the War Memorial we all had to wait 24 minutes before it all started. It was cold but it could have been worse if it had been raining. Perhaps next year they will maybe have the church service half an hour later so it all flows along and people aren't kept standing in the cold”
