CLEETHORPES Town will kick-off their first ever season in Division One of the Baris Northern Counties East League (NCEL) with a trip to Yorkshire outfit Athersley Recreation.

Andy Liddle's (below) men will make the journey to Barnsley on Saturday, August 4 for their opening fixture.

They will then face Bottesford Town, Albion Sports and Pontefract Collieries in what will be a busy first month in the division for the Owls.

Grimsby Borough get their Division One campaign underway on the same day against Worsbrough Bridge Athletic, while Daryl Clare's first game in charge of Louth Town is away to Albion Sports.

The first of the area's local derbies comes on September 15, when Louth Town welcome Cleethorpes Town to Park Avenue.

The first clash between Grimsby Borough and Cleethorpes Town is scheduled for Tuesday, September 25 at the Bradley Community Stadium.

Another side hoping to play their football at the state-of-the-art Bradley facility are Grimsby Town's Reserves.

The club's second-string have been accepted back into the Central League following an announcement yesterday.

They will play in a regionalised 'East Division' against teams such as Gateshead, Bradford City, Chesterfield, Hartlepool Town, Rotherham and Mansfield Town.

Subject to league approval, the club hope to stage their games at Bradley Community Stadium.

And fixtures are expected to be finalised in the coming weeks.

The season is scheduled to get underway towards the end of August.
