CLEETHORPES Town bounced back from their defeat to Pontefract Collieries – with an excellent victory at Rossington Main on Saturday.

Andy Liddle's men remain in the hunt for the Baris Northern Counties East League Division One title after a 2-1 success on the road. And Luke Mascall, pictured, was the hero, with two first-half goals.

His first came in the sixth minute when Tim Lowe set him free and the forward cooly finished.

That lead lasted only 16 minutes, though, as Rossington's Brandon Fallon equalised from a corner.

The Owls retook the lead in the 31st minute when Jack Richardson's shot cannoned off the upright and Mascall was on hand to tap home.

The only blot on Clee's copy-book came in the second half when Lewis Buckthorp was sent off for dissent.

Elsewhere in the division, Grimsby Borough are in 15th position following a 2-1 home defeat to AFC Emley.

The visitors to Bradley Community Stadium went in front in the tenth minute thanks to Aaron Joseph, and doubled that advantage on the hour through Paul Sykes.

Louis Grant pulled one back for the Wilderness Boys, but that proved to be nothing more than a consolation.

Chris Ella netted Louth Town's equaliser at Hallam, as the White Wolves claimed a 1-1 draw.

Daryl Clare's men fell behind in the 53rd minute when Aaron Moxam scored for the hosts, but Ella's goal, six minutes later, ensured they left Yorkshire with a valuable point.
