“Kash has had the pier running amazin its only the recession thats made it come to a bit of a stand still, i hope the guy gets back on his feet and gets to keep in and focus on it.. bit hard if the cash flow isnt there.... lots of businesses struggling.. you hang in there kash and team”

    “Please Penny and others.
This inept Council are unable to maintain the current infrastructure of the town never mind taking over the running of the Pier. Most things this Council gets involved in go pear shaped.I'm pleased they don't operate a brewery because guess what they couldn't run in one.
    Sorry to be so negative.

“Leave it as a drinking hole because there are plenty more places .
Why not turn it into a top restaurant for people to come to and watch the ships passing and the sea while eating it could be a good idea with the changes going on in Cleethorpes.”

“Cleethorpes seafront is all chipped paint, rusted metal, litter strewn walkways, battered signs, delapidated buildings, abandonment and misery. And arcades.”

“ITS A GREAT BRITISH TRADITION TO STROLL ALONG A PIER AND TAKE IN THE SEA AIR, AND WHAT BETTER PLACE TO DO THIS THAN ON CLEETHORPES PIER.
SUPERB LIVE THEATRE SHOWS, A WIDE SELECTION OF FOODS AND REFRESHMENTS, FRIENDLY BARS, AMUSEMENTS AND RIDES THE CLEETHORPES PIER COULD HAVE THEM ALL AND MORE.”

“I agree that this could be a good investment for someone and if the proposed changes around the Submarine area are carried out the pier could be used from morning till night. If it was to be used again at night as a club the licence must state the owners have to remove any waste from the area on the beach under the pier. On Sunday along with many more people walking on the beach all I came across was empty beer bottles and hundreds of cigerrete ends dropped from the pier. What a disgusting sight and the council should be contacting the owner and asking why when its a convenient and safe time to pick up the rubbish their staff have not?Hope the new owners can see that our sea side town with the coastline changing daily, the sea birds and lovely sunsets can take advantage and at night have a venue to attract the right people.Who ever decides to take it on I hope it works out as a good investment but the public I believe need to have a say for its use/”

“Pity we cant get funding for re-geration or new buildings like Hull does. I bet if the pier was in Hull it woudn't be closed. They would mention it on "Look Hull" sorry I mean Look North and Peter would endeavor to save it.”

“If it's in receivership the Council ought to be able to get it for a good price as there won't be a lot of competition for it.
They could then use it as an alternative to the Auditorium and in the same manner but not in the hands of "privateers"”
