TABLE-topping Clee Cons B conquered their club-mates to further bolster their Roy Ling Mutual Grimsby Snooker Doubles League title drive.

The Cons moved 15 points clear at the Premier Section summit after a 4-2 victory against their A team.

The match was a chance for the second-placed A team to eat into Cons' lead, but it wasn't to be.

Brian Bridge and Craig Waddingham easily won the first two frames to get the B team off the mark before Lewis Singleton, Jon Steel, Steve Donner and Mike Bridge were held by Rob Willerton, Chris Farrow, Craig Thomas and Damon Gresham.

Hainton A – three points behind Cons B with a game in hand – struggled to a 4-2 win at home against Clee Bowls C.

After Geoff Ford, Jim McLachlan, and Dave and Peter Cullum all scored a single for the visitors against Dave Cox, Aaron McHugh, Dave Bartlett and Dan Frosdick, a 2-0 from George Bartlett and Luke Major clinched victory for the hosts.

West End A came away with five frames at Healing Legion A as Euan Hunter, Dave Mac, Sandy Young and Jim Wood all won 2-0 and Dave Dixon and Paul King scored a single against slam-savers Nigel Barr and Bernard Mooney.

Taylor Made Carpets slammed Hainton B 6-0. Keith Southwell, Ian Sadler, Mark Stevens, Fred Parker, Keith Tomlinson and Craig Taylor won all the frames.

Healing Legion B won 4-2 at Blossom Way B. Drew Winship, John Horne, Barry Pearce and Craig Brocklebank all won 2-0 in reply to a double from John Rowson and Myles Kennan.

CLEE Bowls B held Section A leaders Dads & Lads to a draw as Nats made up ground on the table-toppers with a 5-1 thrashing of Standard A.

Pete and Alfie East opened the scoring for Dads & Lads by winning the first two frames, but the Bowlers hit back immediately with a 2-0 from Ralph Dale and Mike Barrett.

Jase and Mathew Lawton won the next frame for the Dads, but they couldn't complete the victory as Mick Parker and Dave Walton responded for the visitors in a 3-3 draw.

Second-placed Nats closed the gap to three points after their victory.

After Terry Blanchard and Mick Goodwin shared the first two frames with John Brocklesby and Dave Rushby, it was all Nats as Danny Hargrave, Ryan Johnstone, Steve Drinkell and Nige Emmerson won the rest of the frames.

West End B recorded a rare slam as Dave Page, Peter Needham, Michael Boulton, Mike Needham, Walt Simpson and Barry Jebson won all the frames against Healing Mens.

Den and Jamie Wallis could count themselves unlucky as they lost both of their frames on the black.

Blossom Way A won 5-1 at Cromwell B when John Lough, Albert Potterton, Lynne Katainen and Brad Mowforth all collected 2-0s while Ross Lowther and Dave Erdman shared with Phil and Ray Revell.
