Corporation Bridge in Grimsby to close for essential maintenance work
CORPORATION Bridge in Grimsby is set to be closed for six hours on Wednesday, October 10 in order for routine maintenance and inspection work to be carried out.
The bridge will be closed to traffic from 9.30am until 3.30pm between the mini-roundabout at the entrance to Alexandra Retail Park and the junction with Victoria Street. Pedestrians and cyclists will be able to cross during this time, except during short periods when the bridge being lifted.
The work is part of a programme to ensure the safe operation of the bridge and will involve checking the mechanisms are working, testing the electrical control systems and assessing the condition of the structure.

It's NOT "Corporation Road Bridge" -- It's 'Corporation Bridge'. Doggit! There's on a name-plate commemorating its construction on the bridge itself.

Also, it's a construction of the London & North Eastern Railway Company -- the outfit that was responsible for the Grimsby as we knew it, before successive 'administrations' destroyed it. Guess who hi-jacked it by name!!”
