Couple plan to take Mill House back to its heyday as former owners retire
FROM a village pub to a village restaurant – this couple have got the recipe for success just right.
Former managers of the Livesey Arms in Ludborough, Sally and Lee Austin have taken over well known Covenham restaurant, The Mill House, after the former owners retired.
-

GOOD LUCK: Former owners Fred and Pat Verity (left) raise their glasses to celebrate handing over the Mill House pub and restaurant to new owners Lee and Sally Austin.
Fred and Pat Verity owned the Mill House for 26 years, earning it a well deserved reputation for good food and a great atmosphere.
But tough economic times saw the restaurant's trade dip and now Sally and Lee, who ran the Livesey Arms for three years, have ambitions to take it back to its heyday.
And so far, it looks like a turn around in trade is firmly on the menu.
To find out more see today's Grimsby Telegraph, where we speak to Sally and Lee about their plans.

“Hip, hip hurray. About time someone moved in to improve the place. The food had become rubbish and the prices silly. Good luck to the new owners anything they can do has to be an improvement.”

“Used to go there all the time adn then the menu got revamped and it just didn't work for me. Let's hope they bring back prawns in garlic butter served with warm crusty roll..yummmy. It's always been a great place, renound for it's good food and atmosphere but it had seemed to have lost it's mojo over the last 5 years or so, maybe going back to basics is what it needs - that and being a little more competative on price..before you say it you get what you pay for yes I agree but there are equally as good eateries in the area. Just a thought..good luck to Lee and Sally though and enjoy the retirement Pat and Fred, you deserve it. Keep up the good work Kevin and Jeff.. xx”
