“A Fudging of Stats again, the real figures will never be available.
No response to calls breed a public likely not to report crime, theft in the street, no chance of capture or stuff being returned, the decisition is made there and then. No copper will turn up, unless you was knocked senseless amd in Hospital.
I know of 3 incidents were the police didn't bother, one included a close person to me betting a broken arm! No response except we can't do nothing about it.
'Blunderside Police Farce' their 'Nick' name.
I wouldn't trust the figures while there's still Highway Robbery going on.
Highway Robbery, thieves robbing and Police Speed cameras alike.”

“Obviously they have "re-assessed" what constitutes a crime then... there should be an independent body for collecting and reporting crimes to.... and then the police would not be able to manipulate the results... and they would be forced to deliver real results rather than rely on their statistics department...”

“Exactly my thoughts, Cynic! Most people I know don't even bother reporting things to the police any more as nothing gets done anyway.
Maybe someone in the know can clear this up for me - police recently told us that anti social behaviour WASN'T a crime therefore they couldn't do anything about it til they actually assaulted someone or put their windows in etc. Doesn't matter that they are making peoples lives a misery. If this is true and they weren't just fobbing us off, does this mean that NO anti social behaviour reports appear in the crime stats? No wonder these idiot councillors think that the West Marsh is an ok place to live!”

“There is no reason for the authorities to start patting themselves on the back for a supposed 3% reduction in crime. Humberside especially is still one of the worst areas for general crime in the whole country. Because of this, 3% reduction will go totally unnoticed. There is still very much to do, to bring crime in our area down to acceptable levels. It still isn't safe for decent citizens to venture out on the streets at night, now that really puts things into perspective. So Police etc, put your stats away and get really working for the good citizens in our region.”
