'Dangerous' shoplifter hit guard with bottle of vodka in Grimsby supermarket
VIOLENT thief Sean Cameron has been branded a "dangerous and antisocial thug" after smashing a supermarket security guard over the head with a bottle of vodka.
He used "gratuitous" violence during the furious attack as he tried to escape, a court heard.

Locked up: Sean Cameron had a record for violence and shoplifting.
Cameron, 25, of Freeman Street, Grimsby, admitted assaulting Matthew Eckley, causing actual bodily harm, and stealing bottles of Sambuca and vodka, valued at £30.30, from Tesco on June 30.
Grimsby Crown Court heard that Cameron entered the store, off the town's Victoria Street, and tried to leave with the bottles.

Security guard Mr Eckley grabbed his arm but Cameron hit him several times around the head and body with the bottle of vodka.
He continued punching the security guard and tried to run out of the store, pursued by the guard, who managed to hold on to him.
Outside, Cameron's T-shirt was ripped off and he managed to escape, despite the efforts of the guard.
The police were alerted and a helicopter was launched. Cameron was discovered and arrested.
Cameron was jailed for a total of two years and nine months after previous suspended prison sentences were activated.
Judge David Tremberg branded Cameron a "dangerous and antisocial thug" who had a record for violence and shoplifting.
It was worrying that Cameron had not grown out of violence and antisocial behaviour, said Judge Tremberg.
He told Cameron: "You set about the security guard with fists and a bottle. There was a violent altercation and you struck him repeatedly and he sustained significant injuries.
"You deliberately caused him harm and displayed gratuitous and unnecessary violence. He was providing a service to the public and deserves to be protected."
Cameron was given a three-year antisocial behaviour order, which will come into force when he is released from prison.

“Im beginning to wonder if the Photographer has an agenda
This is the second "missing link" photo we have had this week.
Are these people made to look ugly or is a special Grimsby thing.
Or is there a secret "tribe" of ugly people who are hell bent on making Grimsby appear to be the worst place in Britain”

“someones mind must be numb,my point as pointed out by others is ..he was known to the police they didnt have to get a helicopter out to track him,and I think most would know what I meant by "knocking on his door"which you seem to be under the illusion that the police would not have done, they had no need to use an enforcer as they had no reason for a surprise attack .”

“With his record why was he not put away for good?
About time we had chain gangs in this country. Nothing will stop criminals, but you can ensure the ones that are caught are taught a lesson - and punishment is far better for society than namby-pamby rehabilitation. It just does not work, the proof is in the headlines every day.”
