Flights have been suspended at Leeds Bradford Airport this morning as a band of wintry weather slowly makes its way towards North East Lincolnshire.

Travellers scheduled to fly from the West Yorkshire airport today are advised to contact their airline or tour operator and check the status of their flight before arriving at the airport.

As reported yesterday, the Met Office has issued a severe weather warning for snow across large parts of the country.

Though North East Lincolnshire is expected to avoid the worst of the conditions, snow or sleet showers may cause disruption as they spread into the area late this evening and into the early hours of Saturday morning.
