Driver injured as car ends up in ditch near Barrow

Firefighters were called after a car accident in Goxhill Road, Barrow, about 9am today (Friday).

It left a woman trapped inside her car, which was in a ditch.

Hydraulic cutting equipment was used get inside the wreckage and free her.

The injured driver is thought to have sustained back injuries.
