Prosecuting, Rebecca Dalby, said McLaughlin had tried to interfere as the PCSO attempted to deal with another situation.
He was pushed away by the officer on three occasions and a friend attempted to drag him away from the scene, but he became abusive and spat at the PCSO.

McLaughlin, representing himself, said he did not remember much of the incident, but guessed he must have been “angered” at being pushed by the PCSO.
He added: “I apologise for my actions."
